Out of date ovulation tests

Does anyone know if it is ok to use ovulation tests which are out of date? I have a few packets of clear blue ovulation tests which I haven't opened yet but are now out of date (I bought them quite a while ago when I was trying to conceive my first baby). They expired in March 2014. They are quite expensive so if I can, I would prefer to use them, rather than buying new packets.

I wonder the same thing as I used Conceive Easy pills last year to conceive DD and the packet came with OPKs and I just realized they expired in 2012. Yet I was sent them last year. I only used the HPT and not the OPKs. So I hope someone answers this as I want to know too
