Ov / Opk Query

Hi

This is my second cycle ttc. Last month used clearblue opk and had flashing smiley (high fertility) for 2 days before solid smiley (peak fertility / ov).
Assumed it would be same this month but on sunday had neg opk at 9am and again at 11.30pm.
Tested again monday at 9am and had solid smiley meaning in less than 10 hrs i totally skipped the flashing smiley!!
Had sex monday 10am and tues 4pm, have i left it too late or could i still conceive???
Once egg is released does it have any timeframe on it or does it get disposed of straightaway if not met with sperm?

you usually ovulate after a solid smiley and an egg will survive 12-24 hours after being released, I think you should be in with a good chance
