Hi girls, I'm new here but have been TTC for 14 months. I havent had AF since December last year so I was given norethisterone to bring on AF but I didnt get any more than spotting and then I took clomid. On Sunday I had strong ov pains as well as EWCM a few days earlier so I though woo hoo I'm finally oving but when taking my temp yesterday and today they are lower than ever. This happened to me in February too and I'm getting really annoyed with it now. Has this happened to anyone else? I'm still getting niggles where the pain was so could my body be trying again??

Hi Babyblub, welcome to BnB. I haven't had this happen to me but i would say that your body sounds like it was gearing up to ov but didn't actually go through with it. After ovulation the body releases progesterone which causes the rise in temperature so without this hormone your temp won't rise and without ovulation your body won't produce progesterone.

What cycle day are you on? I would say its either an anovulatory cycle or there could still be time to release the egg.

Thanks MillieMoo. I'm not really on any CD as the norethisterone only made me spot so I took clomid 14 days after stopping the norethisterone. I took the last clomid 12 days ago. I had LOTS of EWCM yesterday and had some niggles in my left ovary where the pains were so I dont know what's going on as my temp is still very low.

Well i take clomid usually on cd2-cd6 and i ov around cd18 so that would make it 12 days after my last pill so theres definately time for you to ov this month. I have pains for about 4 days before ov then as soon as i've released the egg it usually dies down.

Keep BDing as hopefully this will be the right time! Good Luck!
