Ovarian Cyst :(

I have been diagnosed with a ovarian cyst on my right side. It's only about 5mm big at this point, but i definitely feel the impact from it. At times my hormones are all over the place. I really do feel pregnant, but i am not - its just the cyst.

I really hope it goes away by itself. And soon. I definitely don't feel too good, far from feeling like myself - especially as I approach ovulation time.

I find it hard to cope at work now since having this damn thing. I guess the hormones being disrupted effects my emotional state at times.

Anyone else here battling with a ovarian cyst?

I get them all the time.

I found a heating pad to my lower abdomen really helped TONS.

My cysts became dangerously large and my doctor ended up putting me on birth control pills for 5 weeks. It was amazing how fast it shrunk during that time.

Anyhow, good luck! I hate those pests!

They really are pests, just horrible! Sorry to hear you have had to out up with them all the time. I really hope i can beat this one and thats the last of them ... exercise seems to help me a lot with coping with it. In fact if i go a day without exercise i feel very depressed and hormonal and vague. The exercise seems to balance me out.

Mine is only small, but i am surprised how much nausea etc i feel with it. God help me if it gets any bigger!!

Just dug up this thread because I had a 7.5 cm huge ass cyst removed friday night.

I read your comment on constantly feeling pregnant and not yourself and that just made something in my head click. Because I've had these weird hormonal phases, especially round ovulation and period where I have been just feeling bat shit crazy and really not like myself. I tended to be really irrational, but now that I think about it it all started about 2 months ago which is when the cyst must have started growing.
I hadn't even thought about it in those kinda symptoms but makes sense now.

Do you girls know if there is anything to do to prevent the cysts from building? I don't usually use bc pills and would rather not start them just because of this. Anything else?
My doc said its just biological bad luck..

I had an ultrasound to check out my ovaries, uterus, etc cause I was having weird symptoms and pretty much insisted on it. They saw a small cyst on my left ovary. I was under the impression that they are very common and come and go though? Thats what they told me. I have a major health anxiety and worry about ovarian cancer. What are your other symptoms? I've been getting bloated, constipation, rectal pain and pressure. Just weird stuff. Going to several doctors to get things figured out. Seeing a GYN and a GI specialist.

I've had one before, it got quite big and they were considering removing it but kept me in for observation and it started to shrink by itself. Hopefully yours will go away by itself soon
I don't remember getting any pregnancy-like symptoms with mine, just lots of pain and bleeding at the wrong time of the month (it was a blood filled cyst, I guess it ruptured? I dunno)

I had another one but had no symptoms with it (only found out about it when they did an ultrasound cos I was pregnant at the time)
