I can understand how upset you must be feeling though - my little girl has an eye condition called Duanes Syndrome in her left eye and although really mild and not always noticeable when it is she looks blind in one eye - she stares through you and the eye condition means she doesn't have much movement in it so it doesn't 'follow' the other.
People, including strangers have been hurtful 'oh.... whats wrong with her, is she blind?' or 'she's got a funny eye hasn't she...' we are off to get her glasses today (v longsighted too - but can be corrected at this age) so I am all prepared for 'poor little girl' etc etc..... it hurts but I will throw something back to make them feel about 2" tall.

She is obviously just jealous of you and your LO as people who are nasty about others are only jealous.

I seriously feel bad for you right now. That is just awful.

I was in Mcdonalds a few weeks back and 2 little scrotes were stood waiting for their food and my LO was looking at then as she is nosey and they were smiling at her...then they started whispering and I am sure one said "I thought she looked quite pretty until...." I didn't catch the last bit but I wanted to punch her lights out. She was only about 16 and looked like a right dog's dinner with her face plastered in makeup etc so decided I would just ignore the silly little troll!

People are cruel and mean - but I believe 99% it is out of pure jealousy!

Some people are just spiteful and put others down to make themselves feel better. She is gorgeous. One of my supposed friends was calling a baby ugly and I said oh I hope no one would call my kids ugly. You know what she said - "well he's not exactly ugly he's just got a large protuding forehead but so has your daughter and I'm sure they'll grow into them" !!!! What ????? Can safely say I avoid her at all costs now. She's one of those people that's only happy when she's slagging other people off. They're probably just insecure. Ignore her at all costs!!

Someone once said something similar about my eldest when he was a baby. It was my OH's ex. She said (on loudspeaker on the phone) that I was just jealous because "her son was gorgeous and my kid was ugly." Then she said, "she'll be upset because she knows its true".
I went to bed and cried for hours. I'll never forget how hurt I was.
