Hi all,
I'm new here and admittedly have been a bit of a lurker for a few weeks.
Here's a little about me:
My husband and I have been trying to conceive for a year 1/2. I had a septic miscarriage with a D&C in May '13 at 8 weeks. It was literally the hardest experience of my life both physically and emotionally. Since then, my specialist gave me progesterone to induce my next cycle in June. Now, we're in July and ready to start "ovulation induction" with "timed intercourse." Basically, IUI without the actual sperm injection...
My cycles are notoriously wacky and I usually spot for 3-10 days before then have 2-4 days of extremely heavy bleeding and cramps. I went to the doctor last week [July 11th] after 2 days of spotting. My progesterone levels were too high [19.23 mg/l] to start the meds so they told me to come back when I have that very heavy bleeding day.
Here we are a week later and I'm STILL spotting/light bleeding and I'm wondering if I'll ever really actually start. My medications for the IUI include prometrium, femara & HCG.
I guess I'm just ranting/wondering if anyone has ever experienced anything similar? We're still in the "infertility closet" and only close friends and families know about our struggles. And even then, it's hard for them to really understand how emotionally taxing and lonely this is.
