Ovulation only on second round of clomid 50 mg?

So here is my question:

Has anyone of you ever did not ovulate on their first round of clomid 50 mg, but did on the secound round right after?? (still on 50 mg)

Everywhere, i read that the dose is usually increase to 100 mg if no ovulation after one round of 50 mg..... As it did for me. But, i called my obgyn office today and the nurse told me that my doctor wanted to do three round of 50 mg before increasing to 100 mg .... But i am afraid that this decision rule was for if i ovulate but no bfp!

It can very depending on varying factors as it often wouldn't work first time. My experience was that they did increase it but they'd never expected 50mg to work.
I also has an experience that once I was on 100mg & Metformin I ovulated month a, didn't month b, did month c, all on the same dose. I'd say if you don't ovulate again insist on your doctor ringing and see if you can discuss it, there may be a reason.
