Ovulation Question Ladies! Please Help!!

Hii ladies

I am 29 and currently ttc # 1. This is my thrid month of trying with no luck and first month of using OPK. I got a positive OPK on 7th of this month and EWCM as well on the same day. In the evening, I started having ovulation pains on the right side. We dtd on 7th and 8th. In the 8th evening the pain was quite noticeable, in fact at night it was really bad, since I woke up because of the pain. On 9th I had really wet watery mucus and the pain was still there which vanished at 9th night. When do you ladies think that I ovulated reading the above. I really thought I ovulated on 8th because the cramps were really severe at night.

Do you ladies feel ovulation pain ad how do you all try to guess ovulation using ovulation pains.

I don't really experience O (O = ovulation) pain myself. But I believe that it's different for every woman. Women who experience O pain have it either before or during or after O. So it can be tricky I think. You should probably note other fertility signs like your CM (cervical mucus) and maybe take your BBT (basal body temperature). You take your BBT by using a thermometer with 2 decimal places and measure your temperature every morning at the same time. When you O, your temp goes up by around 0.5 degrees and you should be able to see a clear temp shift from your pre-O temps and your temps after you've Oed. That way you may be able to tell when you get those pains.

I'm not an expert at temping (BBT) as I only did it for a few months so hoping someone can help explain it better and in more detail if you're interested in trying.

I did get positive opk and ewcm on 7th.. I never tried temping till now as I always felt I ovulated a day after positive opk.. But after 6 months of trying I nw think I should definitely start temping for exact dates.. Thanks for replying

OPKs dont tell you your exact ovulation date, just your LH surge. Your LH surge occurs anywhere from 12-48 hrs before you ovulate. So i would say its likely you ovulated on the 8th or 9th based on that alone.

I agree that you should try out Charting and temping. It will really help you pinpoint your exact ovulation date and combined with OPKs it will help you time intercourse properly.

I used to think charting and NFP was hogwash but it has helped me with my cycle and TTC immensely.

PS. I have been charting for 1.5 years so I feel I can interpret charts pretty well if you ever need help with it
