Ovulation Spotting?

On the 22nd of June in the evening...I was happy to see what I thought it was my period. I have irregular periods. Last one I had was April 20th. It was pinkish red just when I wiped. Well I don't think it was because when I took out the tampon 6 hours later only the very tip had brownish blood. I thought maybe tomorrow she would come with full force. But nope no more bleeding. So I'm confussed could it have been ovulation spotting? Cause this Saturday I got a very faint postivie. I will be testing again tomorrow it should be darker by now. Or can you call that a period for only that one time spotting?!
