Ovulation spotting?

Hi everyone

Looking to see if anyone had this before.
So yesterday i had mild period kind of pain & when i went to the loo i noticed some browny coloured discharge when i wiped. Had it few more times that day only very light & only when i wiped, odd twitch in my side. Today feel fine. But ovulation tests are negative so im confused. According to my calendar tracker im in my ovulating week.

Could i be ovulating soon? Maybe my tests arent good they are only cheapies.

If the cramping was your ovulation the tests should have been positive the day or two before. When did you do the ovulation test?
