ovulation sticks ... period tracker... ttc...and paraguard

so i got my paraguard removed last friday and we have been having unprotected sex since then, but my cycle changed since then and i started my period on sunday. i bought ovulation sticks, do they show your fertile day or just when you ovulate? since you are fertile a few days before you ovulate...got pregnant with my daughter (13 months old) 4 days before ovulating. we never ttc so this will be our first time. my cycle is very irregular, and i have been using a period tracker for my phone which is supposed to tell me when i ovulate but since my cycles range from 20-37 days it is very hard to tell.

do you use ovulation sticks? what do they show, ovulation or fertile days? how long have been ttc? did you have a iud before, if yes which one? any tips?

I dont have all the answers to your questions, but I didnt want to read and run as I have some advice that may help! I have been having irregular periods for quite some time now due to the Depo Provera shots and I could never tell when I ovulated so I bought a ovulation microscope. You put saliva on the scope and when the saliva dries if there is a ferning pattern it means your ovulating. It costs around 30$ which is nothing since you can use it every day over and over as many times as you want. those OPKs get expensive!
