Ovulation test query?

hi all

quick question?

Does the line get lighter the further away from ovulation?

i tested last week and the line was fairly dark but not dark enough to be a positive? i then tested at the weekend and then today. the line is getting lighter?

doees this mean that i may have ovulated last week and missed the peak and now it is dying down?

yes, it gets darker towards ovulation, then it lightens afterwards as the hormone that causes the line is lowering after ovulation.

I'm having a similar issue, although the latest tests are all evap lines on my OPK's strips these are IC ones though, not really thinking they are worth the savings to worry like this that I'm not ovulating or that I've missed it already this month. I am using a mini ferning microscope as well, and so far i've not seen any sign of impending oculation so not sure whats going on either. Hopefully we will both get better results in the next few days!!

i thought i was resigned to never getting a positive on an ic opk, but last month, they actually started appearing right before ovulation. i was so happy!
