Hi, I've been watching you thread out of curiosity. I am aware of ovulation tracking for birth control but I am curious about when you decide to stop intercourse based on opk's and how long after a positive you get to re start?

I ovulated always between day 14/15 prior to having my baby and it’s looking likely I’m back to the same ovulation days. I track my temp and take ovulation tests just to be sure. We stop intercourse by day 9 and won’t restart until at least 36hrs after my ovulation is confirmed so usually around 7 days of no intercourse x

Thanks, that's interesting. I remember when I was at school being told a little about the rhythm method of contraception, it always seemed a bit uncertain - this was before opk's were available, much more of an accurate possibility now.

I’m keeping track of your thread now! I’m intending on using opks for family planning for the next 12 months, my copper coil actually fell out last month so I’m keeping away from hormones!
We intend to try for #3 straight after our wedding in July ;)
