So my baby is 2 weeks old and has been latching on well and feeding beautifully. She has gained back her birth weight and some and is thriving. My only complaint is that my nipples are STILL sore. Not unbearable painful or cracked or bleeding but just sore and achy...like when I brush against them, they hurt. I've been putting lanolin on them religiously after each feeding and it helps somewhat but they are still sore. Any one have any remedies for making them feel better?

Thanks!

My baby is 2 weeks 2 days today, and I stopped with the lansinoh about a week ago, it was keeping my nipples too soft, so I thought maybe they need toughing up? It seems to be working??

You can try letting the air getting to them, I remember sitting topless for hours on end as having a bra on hurt my nipples too much. Other than that, time works wonders which I know is not that great but it gets better soon!

Air dry them once in a while. Are you using pads? If you are maybe change the ones you use.

It will get better. Your nipples just have to toughen up. You're doing a great job, and soon it will be so much easier x

Thats normal. I had very painful nipples with my last baby for 10 days, then after that they just felt sensitive to touch. That lasted for about 2 months. Ya, it wasnt painful, just annoying. After that they were the toughest things! Right now my nipples are just a little sensitive but not as much as last time. But, soon enough they will be able to handle anything
