Pain - advice

Hi ladies, hoping someone can help me and stop me worrying! According to my charting I should be ov this weekend. Today I had a bit of a sore tummy but just every so often, pains that felt like period pains but only lasted a few mins every few hours.
Since I got home from work I've been bound to the sofa with really bad shooting pains on my left side, in pelvic region. My AF is pretty normal and I had a smear about 4 months ago and it all came back ok :-/ any ideas?

It could be ovulation pain, I suffer with it from time to time. I've been told by my doctor it's normal and a few women get it around the time of ovulation, though sometimes I can be in a lot of pain with it. Hope this helps x

I actually just went to the doctor on Wednesday because I have had sharp pains in my right ovary every month (except 2 months) since I have went off of birth control. She did an exam and said that she believes it was ovulatory pains as it was right around the time I ovulate. Also, let me also say that these pains were pretty bad at times.
I am CD 6 right now and I am waiting to see if the same thing will happen this month.

Hey ladies,

So sorry I never responded. I was waiting for an email to say someone had commented but it never came, silly settings! Thank you for the reassurance, without it I would have been very red faced sitting in A&E being told there is nothing wrong with me! You were all very right, it is ov... same thing again this month at the very same time. That's pretty amazing - it was worse than any AF pain I've ever had so I never would have thought that. I wonder is that pretty accurate then, can I rely on that pain to indicate when to try or can you can OV pains for the week before or week after you actually do OV? Anyway, what smart bodies we have, giving us the heads up! Thanks again, and good luck with your TTC!x
