My baby has really really quiet periods where I dont feel any movement at all for an hour or so. Hes had two episodes of this today and then he'll wake up and sort of move around a bit . I know they dont move as much when they start running out of room but Im just curious to know if this is normal to not feel them move at all during quiet periods. I thought I'd at least feel slight movement as baby sleeps? Am I just being overly paranoid??

Its getting to the point I scare myself every day... yesterday he had two episodes of this , and despite poking him for a while it took him ages to wake up and respond and start squirming a little bit :( The day before that it happened once.

The rule of thumb here is... if you're worried, get checked out. NO ONE will ever call you silly.

My MW doesn't use he 'running out of room' guideline.

But do be aware that as you get later in, baby will be working out awake/ asleep cycles.

Hope I've helped... it's horribly worrying. A good rule of thumb is 10 periods of mvt between 8 am and 8 pm, but anything that devitaes from the norm should be checked xxx

Yeah, I think if you are extra worried you should get checked out. Always better safe than sorry. My sister recently had decreased movement, got checked and found out her amniotic fluid level was low. They had to do an emergency c-section at 36 weeks cause her fluid got dangerously low. So never question yourself if you think something may be wrong, just go in and get checked..
