So just a general consensus but how long do people normally take to reply to party invites?

I am one of those mum's that as soon as I get the invite I reply and then I know it is done

I handed out my daughter's party invites yesterday at pre-school for her 1st party for her 4th Birthday and not had one reply yet and it is making me really anxious that she is not going to have anyone at her party (okay it isn't until 10th November) I know this is irrational but I feel really anxious - please people calm me down and say it is normal

I reply in the first few days. With my DD's party people took ages to rsvp. Some didn't even bother to reply but still came to the party anyway :dohh:

Thing is she has only invited 12 people 8 of those from pre-school and I have now had 1 reply from pre-school (4 others who are not at preschool more family friends) I just feel anxious that her best friends (as those are the ones she invited) will not come

I hope they reply soon and turn up.
I try to reply as soon as possible, which is usually within 1-2 days after the invite

I take a few days, I need to check what I have or may have on that day or need to arrange childcare for my other child first.

I either do it straight away, or totally forget and then find the invite when tidying weeks later or respond to the reminder text I get from the parent!! I think for some people it takes a while to check whether it clashes with other things, sort out childcare/playdates/extra-curricular activities for older kids etc. Some parents will also have genuine anxiety about parties, socialising with other parents etc. and it might take a few days to pluck up courage to reply.

I usually reply the first few days too ! When DD1 had her party some didn’t reply but turned up ! It’s always a worry when hosting a party ! If still no reply nearer the time just casually mention it to the parents. I’m sure all will be fine though

A mixture. I usually have to send follow up texts asking people if they are coming as I need to plan food and party bags. I get a reply then, people are usually apologetic saying they forgot

Yeah I have had a few now deadline is 20th my issue is it is pre-school and I do not know the parents to chase so not sure what to do really
I mainly just hope her bestie can make it

Could you ask the preschool teachers/workers if they'd mind reminding people to RSVP?

I did exactly this and now I have had all replies  Thank you everyone

I don't usually reply straight away as I never know what the plans are around the time of the party, but I usually reply a week or two before the actual party, I've replied a few days before the party before now :haha:

I typically respond pretty quickly. I know I myself, hate when people do not RSVP.
