Hi Ladies
I was just wondering if any of you ladies out there have the hormonal side of PCOS?? Because when I went to see my Gynecologist He told me that my ovaries look healthy and not PCOS. But I do have the symptoms of PCOS. Hair growth, acne, weight gain, irregular periods and ovulation, Unbalanced LH hormone.
The only thing with my ovaries were they were enlarged. But he thinks its because my eggs are maturing but just not releasing due to LH no being at the right level, at too high! So he thinks I may have a metabolism issue and slight insulin resistance, which my be effecting LH
Therefore he has put me on Metformin. Starting at 500mg for one week, then up to 1000mg for the second week and for the third week up to 1500mg and continue it. This is to help reduce side effects. He did say you have had periods and ovulation before this year which were Jan and Feb 2012. And not since then, but surely this proves I am capable of ovulation and periods?? And also naturally/alone without any drugs, surely with drugs it could be more regular?
I was wondering if anyone has a similar case of PCOS as me and has had Metformin before had had some hope and Success from it? Did it work for you and you conceived? How long did it take? Does anyone think it sounds promising for me??![flower :flower: :flower:](/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/flower.gif)
