How many of you are going to/have had this test vs. those who will opt out?

I'm really on the fence about if I want to do it or not. Of course I'd like to know if there's a problem, even though it wouldn't change my mind about having the baby. But the percentage of false positives really kinda freaks me out. And does anyone know if this particular test will tell you the gender or not??

I opted out but had earlier DNA-based screening.

The Quad/Penta test does NOT tell you the gender. i regret having done it. The non invasive tests will. I did panorama to rule out the positive the Quad/penta gave. The panorama tests the babies DNA. It showed no risk of downs and also that the baby is indeed a boy. It was a lot cheaper and safer than doing an amnio.

Yeah, I'd rather do the panorama to begin with, but my dr didn't mention that not at all. I think I'm going to ask about it when I go. I think getting a false positive would just stress me out too much, and in that case, I'd rather just not know. : /
