Perfume...are there experts?

I'm UK based and wondering where I can shop for perfume where the assistants will actually know what they are talking about. I have already found out that perfumes don't suit me if they have vanilla or coconut in them but when I mention this to store assistants in Debenhams etc. they still show me perfumes that are loaded with them.

the perfume shop are great. although sometimes you can get the product cheaper elsewhere so make sure you price check before buying xx
