Period? What?! No!!! 9 weeks PP!

DS is 9.5 weeks and I am EBF (plus pumping on occasion. Don't know if that counts?). I just wiped red/pink after going to the bathroom like the typical start of my period. I stopped bleeding like 4 weeks pp and haven't had anything since, so I don't think it's still pp bleeding.

I am also having some very light period cramps now, so it feels like this is it. Are you KIDDING me?! I was really hoping to get a few more period-free months. LO slept 8 hours for the first time last night, but usually goes 4 hours and then another 4-5 in the night. But sometimes it's 5-6 hours and then he will eat again in 3. Is that what is causing the problem? The more infrequent/erratic feedings? If I get another pumping session in the middle of the night, will my period go away again? lol.

Has anyone else had their period return this early when EBF? I'm so disappointed! Lol I was just thinking this morning that in a few weeks is my 1 year period deathiversary and I was getting excited about that because I have always had very heavy periods and it has been so nice to be without. So much for that! Ugh!

I literally got my period at my 6 weeks pp appointment. I was EBF with night feeds until we started solids at 6 months. Not everyone has delayed return of fertility with breastfeeding, lol. I feel your pain.

Fully breast feeding plus pumping once, sometimes twice a day. Got my first period at 6 weeks and my second at 12 weeks.

I randomly spotted at about 8 weeks pp, thought I was getting my period and was devastated but then it stopped about a day and a half later and I didn't get a real period until 13 months pp...

So fingers crossed it's just spotting for you too!

This may actually be the case! I am still not really having anything. I had some brown CM earlier and a bit of pink at one point again. But nothing decisive. Realllllllly hoping it's just some spotting. I was planning to start exercising again and was thinking how nice it would be without my period! Lol

Mine started at 6 weeks pp. It started back super regular. I was so sad... and terrified of getting pregnant again! I'm really hoping I get a longer break this time!!

I had it 5 weeks pp, and every month since, with ebf. Boo! I feel your pain. They're super awful and heavy too, which is great fun with a little one. Thankfully though I'm currently on my 7th pp period and it's almost back to normal.

I hate to say it did end up being a false alarm! Now I feel bad for everyone that got an early pp period! But mine could be juuuust around the corner! Hopefully not though!

Ugh. I wish mine were a false alarm. Exclusively round the clock breastfeeding and mine is back FULL FORCE at 13 weeks pp. Boooooooooo! The worst part is that now I have to worry about becoming pregnant again since I don't want to use hormonal birth control while breastfeeding
