Permed hair...

I had my hair permed today. I went to a salon and had a professional do it. She told me not to wash my hair for about 24hrs or so and thats about it. I was sort of hoping shed tell me what i can and cant do afterward.

If youve had a perm, Do you need to use a special shampoo? can I use conditioner? detangler? Am I allowed to put my hair up or do i need a special scrunchie type thing?

I was thinking of using baby shampoo and a kids spray detangler. I just dont want to screw anything up

When I had a perm I used normal shampoo & conditioner and did what I wanted with it.. but mine fell out quickly because it wasn't tight enough for my thick hair my mums had her hair perm for years & shell wash it with shampoo and then when its just damp she puts conditioner in it (normal conditioner) and I know some people put mouse in it when its damp to define the curls.. my hair dresser told me that if I wanted to brush it I should do it with a wide tooth comb & do it when its wet x
