Pet baby hates?

Okay...this is probably the most awkward thing to share ever, but...I have a friend who is a porn star and she is getting an elective c-section. Her reason being that she doesn't want to 'ruin her work assets'. I couldn't help but think to myself 'hasn't your line of work changed your vagina COMPLETELY anyway?'...Her muscles are probably in better shape than my own! :haha:

So not a pet peeve at all...just something simply outrageous to hear. I don't care how women give birth, but this was way too funny not to share.

1) babies in jeans. That rough material cannot be good for their little bellies!
2) newborns without hats. I dont care if theyre indoors or not the hats are needed for a reason.
3) ppl that ignore their babies cries in public, especially the little ones that are under a year old.
4) ppl that have issues with breastfeeding in public. No one complains if an adult is eating a hamburger in the middle of the shopping mall what makes them think that an adult's hunger deserves more attention than a baby.

i agree with a lot of the ladies above especially those with the chocolate milk and pepsi. kids will drink or eat the healthy food if its all they know. they have no junk to compare it to so how can they know what theyre missing out on.

Why do babies need hats indoors?
The MWs at the hospital said categorically that hats must never be worn indoors.

Really?? The doctors here (Canada) tell you that a baby's body heat escapes through their heads fastest so a hat must always be worn. Why did the MW's say they must never wear a hat indoors?????

Because where I live it gets to about -40 celcius in the winter time and no matter how darn hard you try the draft always gets in somehow. It all depends where you live. If i were in Texas I wouldnt put a hat on my baby's head indoors. In hospitals here the babies are ALWAYS wearing hats indoors. In the list of things to pack for the baby for baby's birth the doctors tell you make sure you bring indoor hat as well as outdoor hats.

All our babies are gonna be summer babies right?

haha this thread is brilliant and i agree with almost every comment apart from not ignoring a tantruming toddler (best thing to do with mine was carry on as normal, he would quickly realise it was getting him no-where and i wasn't bothered and he would get up and carry on).

In the UK we say NO hats indoors after they have regulated their temps after birth, quickest way to overheat a baby & increase the risk of SIDS :nope: xx

K well I'm in Quebec and we don't put hats on our babies indoors either...

I'm in ontario and it's hats on during winter, usually. Not usually in your own house though or if the restaurant is hot.

Babies can overheat indoors if they aren't stripped down from outdoor clothing. And a hat is outdoor clothing, good point on the spring summer babies.

Ollie was a January baby and we were still told no hats indoors. It makes sense to me, we do have central heating after all.

:haha: Thank you for the laugh. I don't think my "assets" are any worse off from two births...Of course, I haven't been that up close and personal with them! LMAO

I think because I'm small and look young people think they can say what they friggen like to me.
Excuse me I'm 30 and don't appreciate yr rude obnoxious comments.
Well if I was tougher that's what is say.

I may not agree with many things on here, but THIS is my pet peeve. I have had women come up, shaking their head and say "aren't you a little young to be pregnant?" Um, I am 30, and married 5 years! I look young, so what??
OMG I get that too! I get DIRTY LOOKS ALL THE TIME! Makes me SO MAD! I'm 27.. I mean don't get me wrong I am glad I look young but stop judging me and leave me alone. Who cares when people have babies :p its their choice so leave em alone on age!

A porn star wants a c-section? Isn't she afraid of the scar lol? Mine is still not faded after 2 years...

I would think a c section scar would be worse for a porn star then labor on her va jay jay!

Yeh, my c-section scar is pretty darn obvious and that's the only pretty thing about it :haha:

Knickers or bikini bottoms hide it but I'd guess that's not an option for a porn star!

I honestly thought the same, but they can hide scars with makeup. The more you know! I had no idea that porn stars had to put so much thought into how they're going to give birth. Kinda crazy.

I heard another unwanted opinion on what's "inappropriate" for a Mom. Apparently I shouldn't watch Pokemon anymore! It's not grown up enough for a mother! LOL! Riiiiight, well if you say so. So far I've been told NOT to breastfeed, to only pump so I can keep track of how much they're eating, to stop dating women, get my haircut, get rid of my piercings, stop watching Pokemon aaaand to get a car. (The car thing, I'm a single mom, why the heck would I put myself in debt to get a car when I get free bus fare on a perfectly good transit system??)

Don't worry...You get unwanted weird opinions when you're older too. I live in Tokyo and use the trains and buses and our FIL who also lives in Tokyo has a GIGANTIC van the size of a whale. Most cars in Japan are incredibly small, so it's just weird to see. He told us we would understand when we have kids...nope, don't understand why you would drive that tank around one of the busiest metropolises in the world when there are TRAINS around every single corner! Tons of parents use them every day. It's convenient to not have to take a carseat everywhere or be responsible for wherever you park!

I am happy to see areas with a good transit system. I could not live without a car where I live.

I live in Sydney and honestly if I was to move to the country again, THEN I would get a car... however, it's much more convenient to not have a car here as you get stuck in traffic. Buses have their own lanes and trains have their own lines so I think we're ok for now :) If we ever need to go away to see family or have a day trip away or weekend, we'll hire a car :) Works out to be a LOT cheaper :)
