Phone Contract Help..Update Post 25

I hate phone companies all together. T-mobile screwed me over massively!!! And I've head three are useless, they've always been good to me but they screwed my OH over big time. To be honest the only phone company I've ever really trusted is O2. I really hope you get everything sorted hun, I know how much it sucks to be without a phone and not afford a new one. I lost mine in June last year and couldn't replace it until November! xx

God I HATE 3! we had an internet dongle with them temporarily while waiting for our switchover to bt infinity and they just absolutely LIE to their customers! They billed us twice after saying we owed nothing and then their attitude was like "so what you just have to deal with it" luckily my oh has worked for various call centers and knows their game but still it was very annoying! as regards to your repair, when the network refuses to repair, Id go through the manufacturer- especially as you say its a "known issue" my oh tried to get his phone repaired month before contract end and vodafone said it was tampered with/3rd party software/ user damage basically whatever they cud just not to repair, so y oh contacted samsung ( i think it was ) and sent it off for repair there and they sent him back a brand new galaxy s somethingorother, 4 days before his contract end! so he happily cancelled with vodafone with a brand new phone lol

So an update -

I went to fetch my phone from CPW who basically showed me the report from where it said it's not a RIM phone which it should be and has been bought from the far east not the UK and he asked if I'd heard from them about it I explained everything I'd been told by the repair guy..And that he'd told me to contact 3 who said it had now voided my warranty and he was actually speechless! He said no way does it void my warranty and 3 were telling me its a 1 year warranty its not its 2 year with Blackberry and the they didn't touch my phone they ran my IMEI number that came back with all that information so they just returned it and that the tamper proof screws are still intact to prove they hadn't and nothing at all has been wiped which it would have if they had..And told me to contact trading standards because they're basically abusing my consumer rights by telling me loads of crap, and that it should scare them enough, especially as I have everyone I've spoke to's name..to get it sorted and if not to go direct to Blackberry. So hopefully I'm gonna finally get this sorted!!x

hope you get it sorted! im with tmobile (now EE) never ever had a problem. i would never be with 3.. OH is with them and theyre rubbish xxx

I went into Three today and asked for the Manager who instantly apologised for the Assistant Managers behaviour and said he would send my phone off for repair and gave me a loan phone for in the meantime, so I'm glad it's finally getting sorted.

Hopefully I don't get another message saying 'Sorry we can't repair it'. I did ask about it being fake and he just said 'if there's something like that wrong the store that gave it to you would sort it as it's their stock, it doesn't make a difference in our repair centres where they came from, they'll still repair it' but he never admitted nor denied it being fake/bought on the complete cheap from the far east

Hope they finally fix it for you. I have heard so many bad stories about 3!

Thank you I hadn't to be honest but after all this I won't be recommending them, I'll be looking at either O2 or Vodafone, I'm just not sure which yet lol

Glad it's finally getting sorted out. I've never heard bad reviews about O2, but a few about Vodafone.. Including signal. I'm with t-mobile myself and have had no issues at all.

Don't go with Vodafone. My mum has a dispute with them at the moment and they are no help whatsoever! I've been with o2 always (even in Germany) and they are the most helpful I've ever been with.

Yeah since I considere going over to them I've started hearing some bad things about them and O2 I used to be on - Infact I think I've been on them all at some point - And never had a problem.

Now Orange and TMobile have changed to that EE I've heard loads of bad things about their signal, mainly coming from the people that were on Orange though rather than TMobile
