Really nice, and good luck with the course! What do you use?

The course looks really good it covers quite a few topics and it was only £48 so I thought I may as well give it a go.

For most of my pictures I shoot using a Canon 40d but the eye picture was taken using my little Canon Ixus 80 point and shoot

I think one of the ones with the frame would be FAB done B&w outside the frame, colour inside.

hi,

i've been trying to read this thread for a few days. there are some lovely pics upto page 77 (how far i've got). please can i join u? i wouldnt say my photos are as good as some of yours but i enjoy taking them.

i have a question - how do i turn a colour photo into a black/whit or grey BUT keep bits of it in colour? for example i have a car door with wedding flowers on the handle, i want the car black/whit and keep the flowers pink.

Amylw1 - do a google search on "how to do selective colour" in whichever editing program you use (Photoshop etc) and you should be able to find a tutorial easily enough which will explain it. I find the video ones quite useful - try looking on You Tube

Aflight I agree that one of the ones with the frame would work quite well with some in colour and some in black white maybe. I also think image 0020 or 0013 would look nice in black and white.

It’s hard as I couldn’t seem to be able to view the images any larger but if I was picking four I’d probably go for 0020, 0013, 0015 and 0018. I have only looked at the first page though I must admit.

At the weekend we celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary so I did a little shot to mark the occasion.

It also ended up being a double celebration as I found out last week that I am pregnant with our first child It’s very early days yet as I think I’m only about 4 weeks so I’m not getting too excited as obviously these first few weeks can be a bit worrying but hopefully all is going to be well. Just want to get past that first stage so I can feel a bit more comfortable and stable.

Everyone has been rather quiet lately – I hope you are all ok?

YAY!!! finally got to the ed of this thread. please can i join you?

it will be as and when due to having 3 kids, loads of animals and a husband to look after.

i take photos as and when i can, mainy of the family and pets and when we go to places. i take pics of what catches my eye, so may not be to everyones taste.

i have moved from a compact fujifilm to a DSLR - fujifilm S5800, this was my xmas prestant last year, but it hasnt been used as much as i would like. but as i dont drive i can only go out when OH is home to drive me or get a bus. plus i had many problems during pregnancy and couldnt walk very far as i would pass out!

i found out how to do the selctive colour, the video i found confused me even more so i just started playing on photoshop CS2 and managed to do it.


this is 1 of my favourite pics (took on compact camera 3yrs ago). it is my eldest son at Thrigby Hall in Norfolk, some of you may know it.

i can safely say it WAS the tiger in the cage NOT my son! (he was on the viewing platform thats built into the center of the enclosure.)
