Photography Club

Thanks Anna  I just tend to be my own worst critic, and since getting pregnant last year I haven't decoted much time to my work at all. Worry I'm losing it and going stale. Have a wedding to photograph in 6 weeks and am SO nervous, even though I've done this before.

oh so do i maybe we can help each other get ready for it or something! You have nothing to worry about your work is ace!

Just popped in here to see how you're all doing girls/guys! :hi:

Anna you're an absolutely fantastic photographer and mother and as Debbie says, in everything you do! You know where I am if you want to chat/moan/rant!! Please don't feel down though....you're brilliant! :hugs::hugs::hugs:

Anna stop being such a numpty your photographs are fantastic! Maybe if you feel your confidence is slipping you could set yourself a mini challenge to pick up your camera everyday even if it’s only for 30 minutes. If you do that for the next 6 weeks I am sure you will be feeling much better in time for the wedding.

Have had a look and they don’t seem to do a ‘for dummies’ book for the canon 40d which is annoying I think I may take a trip to the local library tonight after work to see what photography books they have there. As hubby is away this weekend I could take myself off to a little coffee shop and treat myself to a few hours reading :D

I just wanted to thank you all for cheering me up. I feel down about my photography cause I think I'm 'losing it'. For two years, until getting pregnant, I had a blog where I took a photo a day to keep my ideas fresh and my skills sharp. Just haven't had the energy while pregnant, and then didn't have the time. Hope to get back into it soon now that Alyssa is older and is gaining a bit of independence. It's setting up my home "studio" again that's going to be tough - what is now Alyssa's room used to be just for my photography. I need to try and find a corner somewhere that isn't full of baby things to work.

Sorry for rambling - just wanted to say thanks :hugs:

Hey Anna,

you're work is ace if it were any better before i think we'd all feel inadequate around you! hehe.

You've definately inspired me to do better and challenge myself more that's why i'm booking on this course!

Hey guys whats up... had such a busy weekend last week... worked Sat and Sun. Sunday was Football (80 Teams) and Sunday was a Swimming Event, both all day, 9 till 6/7...gah...

But this week, I think I'm only doing Saturday and doing Athletics this time in the Stadium in Cardiff.

Anyways...not been shooting much apart from them. But I have some new shots somewhere...

Couple of pictures I took yesterday, the clouds were so pretty...

Those are really good cloud pics!

I have a question: does anyone know what other lenses are compatible with the Sony a200? This is the one that I want to eventually get, but i was wondering if there are any generic lenses with the same or similar spec?

you prob won't find a generic 50mm for any less £££ tbh.
sigma and tamron do good lenses if you're in the market for the generics.... just look for any with "sony mount". :)

prob where you went through to find the link above but https://www.warehouseexpress.com/category/basecategory.aspx?cat03=3079
anything in there will fit :D

Thanks Debz! I'm looking at getting the one I linked. I'm wondering if I can get my hubby to treat me to it as it's my birthday!!!
