OH has hsaid whats wrong with your flash from the old 35mm canon T50 cant you use that.. yes i can but it doesnt tilt.... says he who has just bought a £6000 motorbike, yet moans that i want to buy a £120 flash....men!

told him and he was fine lol! just said 'So when will it start earning money?' which got me thinking about alternative careers, I am a veterinary nurse, but have always had an interest in photography, only now have i had time to 'play' around, I love taking photos of the kids and animals maybe thats something i could think about doing. Dont know if you need courses to do like that but have been thinking about doing one.
I dont know if i will go back to nursing as its not the most family friendly job, with weird hours and night / weekend duties.

Just put my T50 canon on to ebay along with 210mm lense and 2 x converter. Hope to get a decent amount.

Yu can go into photography minus formal qualifications, but courses will help with learning "rules" and basic skills. It's more about building a portfolio and marketing yourself i think.

why don't you combine your vetinary nursing with your photography and do pet portraits? There isn't alot of them around so straight away you're filling a gap in the market so will have demand

That is sort of what i was thinking, have to do a bit of reading and maybe look for a whort course.

Pet portraits are a great idea - fill a niche in the market, and combine two of your loves. You don't need qualifications or anything to be a pro - just the ability to take a good photo and the ability to market yourself....

Marketing.... that's my weaker point (I think I'm okay at the photography side, compared to some "pros" I've seen)

Woah its been a while.


Sorry guys, its been MADNESS here. I've been enjoying time with Braden and my OH. I also have a bit of news.... Me and my OH are engaged So its all been pretty hectic around here, as well as my sister in law telling me im going to be an auntie! She's 12 weeks pregnant so getting on here has been a struggle.... but heres some new braden pictures.... hes growing so so so fast!!

yeh I agree... Im really looking at doing this! Been speaking to a few people about it and Im adamant I can do it. If anything its my ambitious streak taking over and is ready for anything I havent used my own brain or inicitive (sp?) since uni and Im crying out to use it. Also if it doesnt take off I have nothing to lose

so watch this space...!!
