Bit of a long shot but I can't really find the info I'm looking for on the net!
I was on Dianette contraceptive pill for 7 years then my doctor changed me to the Yasmin contraceptive pill, which I took for 2 years until I fell pregnant with Oscar (in 2007) I had Oscar in 2008 and am now using the Implanon contraceptive implant. So in total I was using the pill for 9 years. But have been pill-free since mid 2007 (2 years).
I have recently suffered a warning/mini-stroke and am looking to see if there could be a link from when I was taking the pill.
Would the risks of blot clots, stroke and heart attack reduce once stopping the pill? Or could it be possible that my warning/mini-strokes in March & April of this year could be linked to me having been on the pill (even though I haven't used the pill since May/June 2007)?
Any ideas anyone please!
