For those of you who use playtex nursers, do you ever re-use the drop-ins? They are quite expensive, and my little one will go through about 8 per day. I don't put them in the microwave. We warm bottles to room temperature by placing them in a bowl of hot tap water. I was just curious to see what others were doing :).

Thanks so much!

I was using these but, like you said, they are not cheap. They're also not good for the environment. I ended up switching to Playtex's VentAire because of these two reasons.

I did reuse the liners maybe once or twice when I was out of the house for long periods of time because I didn't take enough. I wouldn't make a habit out of it though. You don't want to collect bacteria.

Hope this helps. ^^

I have washed and reused the liners, but I'm not really sure if it is a good idea. I did it a few times then stopped, just because I was worried about it.

Personally I love the drop ins and LO seems better when using them as well. Walmart does sell a Parent's Choice brand of liners that are the same and fit in the bottles. I've been using them this past week and have had no problems. Here in Canada they are about half the price of the Playtex brand. 50 of the Playtex are about $5-$6 and 100 of the Parent's Choice are the same price.

As far as being bad for the environment, the liners are recyclable. My city accepts anything stamped with the recycle symbol (which the liners have) in our recycle bins, so I just rinse my used ones and toss them in the bin.

i use the drop in system and LOVE it. In the beginning i did wash them and rre use them too, but now i only do if im getting really low. With my dd i used the playtex vent air witch were ok too but omg i hated always haveing to take apart every part of it to wash them plus i had ALOT of problems with leaking. I also think that the drop ins are much cleaner and my son never has a belly ache (knock on wood) lol

may i ask a question about these too. Have you noticed that on the bags there are the markings of oz and also on the bottles. Well i have two different types of bottles that the drop ins are suppose to fit both but the marks dont add up. Does that make sense? If i fill the water to the 6 on the bottle then its under the line on the drop in. But if i fill it to the 6 on the drop ins then its above the line on the bottles anyone else?

I wash and reuse ours! I change liners every two days..been doing that about 8 months now and no problems at all! We used ventair but like others said it was a pain taking it all part plus my son had bad trapped wind with them.
