My son is 9 days old. We have been formula feeding on demand since birth.
Over the past couple of days he has consumed around 26oz of milk per day, which seems quite a lot.
He was 8lb 8oz born (2 weeks late) and gained weight at his 5 day appointment almost 5oz.
I was making 3oz feeds but that occasionally wasn't enough and we were hearing a whole new bottle just for a few more sips. He now regularly takes 3 to 3.5oz every 2 and half to 3 hours. Is this right?
Everywhere I turn to for advice is useless. I've got the health visitor coming tomorrow and I'm terrified they'll say I'm over feeding him but he cries for it if we don't give it him after trying all the usual culprits of nappy, wind, cuddles etc.
I'm so upset everyday worrying about his feeding pattern I don't know what to do. Thank for anyone's help.
