please help i dont know what to do

my baby is 8 days old. We have been feeding her cow & gate. Today she seems to have had more of an appetite and just keeps wanting more milk, waking up every 2 hours for a feed but she doesnt take much more than 2 oz at a time. SOmetimes she will nap for 30mins to 2 hours then want more. This evening she puked a lot of it up. Im worried about her breathing too, she seems to breath really fast when she has a break from taking the milk. She is pooing normally. Im really frustrated i just dont know what to do. I have been told that maybe she is a hungry baby and needs a different forula.

Can anyone suggest anything please?

I fed SMA but she sounds just like Jack was, he fed every 2 hours day and night for the first couple of weeks.

It is easy to forget their tummys are only little so won't store too much, you could try her with a different formula, but some babies do just feed little and often, it should even itself out soon though xx

I echo what the other girls said too, sounds fine to me. As Granny Jo said, her belly is so little at this age that she really wont be able to take much in the way of milk and 2oz per feed sounds about right tbh. She will feed little and often for a few more weeks yet till her belly starts expanding a little and she can go a bit longer between feeds.
She may have puked cos she ate too much? If babies take in too much milk they will puke it up. Could be worth thinking about, especially if she doesnt have a fever, is having frequently wet/dirty nappies.
As for her breathing, if you're really concerned about it, talk to your HV or doctor. I do remember Evie breathing very rapidly when feeding sometimes and sounding very rattly in her chest, and took her to see the doctor but apart from still having a little mucus on her lungs she was given the all clear. She seemed to grow out of it as she doesnt do it now

my LO is 8 days today also... and we are having the same problem! we are using aptimil... and are changing to cow and gate. Its been really difficult to settle him as well.
My midwife told me he is most prob having a growth spurt.

I agree with the other girls hun, there tummy's are so small they can only take milk little and often.

They also have so many growth spurts, it could be one that she's going through now.

Agree sounds perfectly normal hun,8 days & 2oz a go is right hun, They tend to take little & often when so young. She will breath really quick at 1st when letting go of the bottle as they dont take in as much air when feeding, same as when you take a big drink of pop or water you finish & take a big breath in

Yeah!! Sophie was born at 12.17am... and oliver was born at 12.30pm!! Strange ay! I was induced because i was 13 days overdue lol x
