Please help I'm in a state redundancy related so upset!

Ok cutting this short.

Worked for a company nearly 4 years. I'm 16+1 pregnant work were informed of pregnancy weeks ago.

Been told there is a restructure in my department (finance)

Currently me an other girl work in this department both on a salary of 26k full time 9-5 mon to fri. Both same job title but doing slightly different jobs (long story)

Got pulled into a meeting today with hr and our boss (head of finance) basically we have to apply for new jobs in the company one job of finance manager at 27.5k and one of finance assistant 17.5k if we don't get it or don't apply it's redundancy.

The other girl currently does payroll, year end accounts etc etc a lot more responsibility than me etc if I applied for it I can guarantee 200% I won't get the job and I would not be able to live on the 17.5k especially going bk part time after maternity, I would be making the same on benefits! Being a single parent.

The sneaky *******s will make me redundant before my 15th qualifying week for smp

Would I still get 39 weeks maternity allowance!??

Would I be able do get income support etc?

I am so upset an stressed out!!

Firstly, what sort of time scales have they given you for all of this? Have they actually given you notice of redundancy?

Secondly, IF you got made redundant (check your policy), but the minium you will get TAX FREE is based on your age so have a look at this

Thirdly, IF you get made redundant, go STRAIGHT onto JSA. You can claim that for a min of 6 months (national insurance contrubution based). But you do have to make the effort to look for a job and go to the job centre every fortnight.

Finally, failing all of that, and your JSA period you can claim IS.

Oh P.S. These could all be dependent on your OH salary too...
