Please Help - in a complete panic??

we have been trying for two years, my husband has had 7 semen analysis done over the year. 6 have had a count of 19 million and the last one just over a month ago was 58 million. We were told we have unexplained infertility and are waiting on IUI through the NHS.

Last week we had some tests done at a private clinic and tonight I got my husbands results! I dont understand is this telling me he only has a count of 3.7 million? How can this be??? What do the Abnormal Forms mean, we have never had this test before?? Is this bad?

Please help, im so confused and in a complete panic! The letter says we need ICSI how can things be so different? Any help will be so appreciated!!

Hi there

I'm not sure about the density part but I think it maybe means 37 million? If so this is totally normal. My other half had only 3% then 6% then 7% normality, which is on the low side and can make it difficult to conceive - but not impossible. This sperm test shows 89% abnormal (11% normal) which isn't so bad. My other half and I have been TTC for 2.5 years and are waiting on IVF. Hope this info helps a bit...

My DH has density of 3.1. It means 3.1million, I think the normal is about 20million.
Are you sure the ones that were 19million were not 1.9million?

Thanks girls, his last tests were definatley 19 million with the latest being 58 million, thats why I cant understand how it could drop to 3.7 million. It just doesnt make sense!

I spoke to the hospital and they said it could be an abnormal sample and sometimes men produce these. Its just one more thing to worry about.
