Please help - IVF question

Hi ladies

I have my 1st IVF appointment at Herts and Essex Clinic on 17th May. I have a holiday booked on 31 may - 4th June. We have been soooo stressed lately and really looking forward to it. However- I spoke to a friend today who told me that IVF clinics are really inflexible about appointments and that we might not be able to go! She said if we cant make 1 appontment we might have to wait 3-6 months for the next appointment!

I looked on the website and it does make reference to starting treatment at a time convenient for us. My friend said that might just be for private patients though (we are NHS funded). I am soooooo gutted! We will loose so much money and we were really looking forward to this holiday.


Does anyone have any experience of this? Are clinics really that inflexible?!

Hey hun at our first appt they just went over the basics & booked further appts but they were 3 months down the line giving us time to get SAs & HSGs done. Your clinic will be fine Hun, it's only a short break anyway & my clinic has always been flexible x

I think the clinic will be flexible - mine def was. Just explain situation to them and ask to rescedule x
