hi ladies ,
i am so confused its un real ,right ive been getting tax credits for a year daughter born in april and we've been getting money based on 2009-2010 , right hubbys wage hasnt changed in the last 2yrs but im going back to work in april .

so do i ring them up about change that i will be working or do i wait for next years forms and delcare working on them .

as when forms come in i will be putting 2010-2011 earnings ,im so confused because me working will take us £48 over the bracket for any tax credits but if they go on last years we should get something .

please help x

as soon as you start working ring them and tell them - or you could end up being over paid and have to pay loads back! x

thanks hun thats what i thought its just so bloody confusing lol x

The same thing has happened with me! I'm confused too. We will be over by around £400 by me going bk to work and I have advised them this week by phone and they are still paying us ctc. I just don't get it! Waiting for p60 and will be ringing them back but any money I receive from the beginning of April from tax credits is being saved in a separated account as I'm almost positive it'll be requested back as an overpayment!! Really stupid when I clearly now earn too much and they are continuing to pay! I'm just confused

i have been overpaid this year as when i informed them of oh payrise it meant we were not entitled to anything for the year, previously had been getting £250 a month, but they continued to pay £60 a month encased we were left short instead of just stopping payments immediately! i know i have to pay back but also know i can offer £10 a month which they Will accept and tbh the extra was useful when lo was tiny...
