Please look, I'm getting scared, lots of pics, UPDATE: miscarriage thurs, jan 29th

Well, just a little background. i've been ttc for 9 months and at 11 dpo which is when my AF is usually due. i noticed a temp spike instead of a drop. and since my husband was out of town, we only got to BD ONE time all month. and i was not expecting to conceive. But i went into the bathroom and took a dollar store test that i had in the previous cycle and this is what i got

super super faint. but i could see it (it was a little darker in person) so i had a CB&E digital test that i had been saving for a special occasion i.e. late period or faint bfp. so i used my 2nd MU and got this

Right? yay!!! but being the POAS aholic that i am i didn't stop there. i tested the next day with the more expensive dollar store tests. with FMU and this is what i was confronted with

without a doubt. not even an evap to obsess over. well needless to say my heart sank to my toes. so as soon as my husband got back from KY that night (12 dpo) i went straight to CVS and got an Answers early response and a CVS digital test. and this is what i got out of that

"not pregnant"

ok. so by now, i'm completely driving myself crazy. i tested again this morning and got a faint on a dollar store test. here it is.

not an evap mind you. i took the pic right away. so what do you guys think? my lines are not getting darker. I want this baby so bad!! and i know i should stop testing. but with all the conflicting results, how can I!? what do you all think? is this a sign of miscarriage. or have you had and that resulted in a sticky pregnancy? please help, before i go insane!!

here's this morning, with FMU and nothing to eat or drink first, just straight to the bathroom, with about 9 hours sleep.

even fainter. what do you guys think should i go to the ER, just so i know? i'm driving myself mad with worry. which can't be good for the baby either. i need to know one way or the other if this baby is going to be okay.

Sweetie i definately think your pregnant, i was told today you CANT get a false positive, u can get a false neg but not positive, it could just be that each different test has a different rating of miu. please dont worry im sure this is your time babe!! you'v got some fab lines there babe!! also the time of day of testing does matter so try with either first or second urine of the morning.... hope that helps xxxxx

hun a line is a line..the BFN tests might have not picked up the HCG even though the digi's did! i think you are pregnant though! you need to step away from the tests I know how hard it is though...

thankyou guys. i just assumed that at 14 dpo i would have a nice dark line, the fact that it is still squinty is what's bothering. not to mention one positive digi and one negative. this is going to be it though!! i'm going to stop torturing myself as of right now! my doc won't even see me till i'm 8 weeks. so i'll just stop thinking about it till then. (yeah right) but i'll try anyway.

i had the same faint line on my test's, and i was 6 week gone wen i found out??? you would think enough hormone there to give you a dark line, but any way mine was def positive i had her 10 month ago, i think you are hun, all the best and good luck xxxx

i couldn't believe it either. with my last son they saw me right away. and saw me every month after that. i had my first scan at 9 weeks with him. i think i may look for another OB, one who seems as interested in my pregnancy as i am

OK, here is what I think. I think that most likely you are fine. You are still so very early, so, depending on the concentration and the level the test needs, it might vary until your levels get up a little higher. I see that you are using different tests, and sometimes that isn't always the best idea as they do measure different levels. That being said, it is true that what you are worried about (your Hcg levels going down) *could* be happening. HOWEVER, I think it is too early to tell just by POAS. I would stick to one test only, and try not to obsess over the darkness of the lines. If you go to PeeOnAStick.com, even there they will tell you that the darkness of the line has nothing to do with how pregnant you are. But, if you do continue to test, and you continue to get inconsistent results say, after 3-4 days from now, or BFN's...then I would see a DR about it, and get a blood test. Until then, I know it is easier said than done, but *TRY* not to worry. BTW, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

I agree that you're definitely pregnant! You're testing quite early and some tests need more hCG to register a positive - so a more dilute urine sample could make a difference too. False positives are very rare

I aggree its no doubt a positive hun .
I have no explination for the other tests , Maybe a dodgy lot or maybe they just didnt pick up enough in that specific urine sample to give the lines .

Either way hun , Please try relax for yours and babys sake **Hugs** Enjoy the next 9 months well done .
And i know 8 weeks is sooooo far away lets hope it whizzes by for you . xxxx .

Hun, if you are going to keep testing after your BFP you should always use the same brand test as some are more sensitive than others - meaning that on some you may get a very positive result, and on others you may get negative. I dount it has anything to do with your pregnancy, rather the tests that you are using. The most reliable tests are FRER and digital - and you got very clear positives on both of these! Hunni you are pregnant! Without a doubt! Congrats and good luck xxx

Try to stay calm and relax - and step away from the tests, or at least stock up on a whole load of the same brand...

well, tested again this morning. i know, I need an intervention. i used FMU with the dollar store brand. and it is still sooo faint. i'm really worried. I'm telling myself that everything will be fine, and i'm just one of those women that takes a while for the hcg to build. i'm praying that that's the case. i'm thinking about going to a clinic and asking for a quantitive.

I agree with all the other women hon. Different brands have different sensitivity. Some ladies get nothing till 18dpo and some not until months ahead. You are pregnant and I think you maybe need to stop testing for a few days then do another digi and another FR and see the difference. Lines get darker at different rates. Take care I know how anxious it can make you. xxxx

Also make sure you have lovely strong wee, if you test after a big cup of tea it'll be far to diluted. Trust me I'm a POAS expert. Totaling over 25 tests now

hope you are ok! sounds like a very confusing time xxx i'm sorry i can't offer you any more advice than to go and see your doctor... blood tests will definately point you in the right direction... plus if your worried the dr should be able to monitor you to keep your mind at rest x i hope you are ok and that your tests calm down x i'm sure there are lots of innocent reasons why they could be fluctuating xxx for now BIG BIG BIG try not to stress to much (i understand this is easier said than done!!) keep us updated xxx
