What troubles have you run into by not being "allowed" to have the kind of birth you want because of your weight?
I'm a size 18, 240ish lbs, 5'6" tall.
I'm wanting to have a home water birth, but after reading some of the different stories on here, it sounds like medical professionals, by and large, would rather you do it their way, or not be there to help at all?
What have your experiences been? I refuse to give birth in stirrups at a hospital unless there are real medical problems (not just assumptions of possibilities of them). Am I looking at potentially doing this unassisted?
