Plus Size Belly Bands: Homemade vs Store Bought

Okay, so I know I want a few Belly Bands to hold my pants up as I bloat. I could do the hair tie thing (and already do), but I like the extra coverage for shorter tops. I've seen some on Etsy. I can get 2 plain and 1 lacy one for MUCH less than the price of 2 plain ones that are name brand. My question for the plus sized ladies- do the homemade ones work just as well? The sizing says it fits 20-24, and I'm about a 24. I'd love to make them myself but I don't know how to sew!

Have you had a look on eBay, I just ordered on off there for work, my uniform pants are too tight cause I'm sooo bloated and its too early to ask for maternity pants not to mention embarrassing. It cost £5 ish I didn't think I would get one tbh as I'm a size 22 chuffed I did.

Failing that I was gonna make one, get some stretch material that has substance and will hold its shape and just sew it tube shapped lol if that makes sense.
