I know quite a few polish peopl and they have NEVER eaten swan even back in Poland![]()
Am I just being fussy here or is anyone else finding this slightly offensive?
It's not normal in this country, sorry - it's illegal to harm swans (plus MANY other wild animals). I don't care where they were from btw but to say "so be it"? Err NO - these people have no right to eat our swans! Its just one of those things i guess, i dont know much about it but if it is a part of their tradition then so be it, other countries eat dogs, cats. horses etc, we'd sit here and go YUCKyet to them they know no different and its normal
I have a copy of the original "The Joy of Cooking" book, and it has recipes for swan, opossum, raccoon, armadillo, all sorts of things. No thanks! lol
I gather that it's quite common for people in other areas to eat goose? That would be considered very strange here.![]()
