I had a routine growth scan last week(Type 1 diabetic) and it showed my fluid levels were high(24.5) and they diognosed me with Polyhydramnios. I asked the sonographer what this meant and is it bad etc, and her reply was, no not really but it is common in diabetics and it can cause pre term labour and sent me on my way...
Saw my consultant afterwards who barely mentioned this and when I asked about it he said don't worry.
But I have been worrying as I never had this with my son.
Sooooo as you do, Had a little read up on Google and saw some of the symptoms it can cause. And I pretty much have every one which I guess explains why I am having them.
I am super short of breath, like I feel starved of Oxygen, can't deeply inhale etc, just awful, My feet are swollen, my back is killing me and my bump feels like its gonna split open and baby is gonna fall out of me when I walk..
So after my little ramble, I am asking if anyone has also been told they have this problem? Or maybe had it in a previous pregnancy? And did it cause any problems?
I am booked in for a Section 3 weeks today anyway, and Have another scan later today so check on babies growth and the fluid, so Will probably know more later.
Thanks for reading!
