Pop-up ads

Anyone else getting them? I've been getting them at home and at work for the past few days, not anywhere in particular I've noticed just sometimes when I click on something on BnB.
The last one I had was for Blinkbox but I've had ones for weight loss aids etc. I'm on Firefox at work and on Chrome at home.

I thought it might just be other sites I was on at the same time but it happened this morning while I only had BnB open.

There have been some popup ads opening in a separate tab which can be normal yes however if these are causing any problems please provide the following:

• Screen shot when needed (not in this case)
• URL of the page if in your browser toolbar
• Company ad name (like blink box etc)
• Country you live in
• How the ad is a nuisance/disrupting your forum time

I get the blink box when i click on 'user cp' - it opens a new tab and goes to their website. This only happens the first time i click from the homepage.

They're not coming up in a tab for me they're popping up separate windows.

The ads are a nuisance as they're coming through my pop-up blocker, I've had three in the two minutes I've been on, and I deliberately don't use sites with pop-up ads because they're a PITA to be closing every two seconds.

Im exactly the same as Kate, also im getting them on my phone which then automatically takes me to the popup screen. Its also Blinkbox, and i also live in the UK

This is what is happening for me. Not sure if its blinkbox as my security displays a different page.

I am going to defend this slightly ladies. Noisy ads you can't close, covering the forum etc I have certainly put the complaints forward with urgency but there does have to be a certain amount of ads. Yes I am aware this won't go down well with everyone but a simple x will close it.

I have had these ads pop up which are silent and open in a new tab/window without shutting BnB but certainly not one after the other. I will raise your feedback with the team about this. I agree ads should be limited... I am on the same settings as you guys and I haven't experienced one after the other in such a short space of time, I am not saying it hasn't happened so will contact the ad/tech team to see what they can do.

If there are additional problems please reply to this post further and let me know.

It's normal yes... Sorry I probably wasn't clear on my previous post. The ad should not be aggressively disruptive, not be an on the page ad that can't close/covers part of the forum and allow you to close. Of course the 3 reported in such a short space of time is a concern and feedback has now been sent to the relevant team.

Blink box is driving me insane. It pops up in an entirely new window, not a new tab. I'd be fine to accept its just an ad and I can indeed just click x to close it howeverrrrr...... its opening instead of the threads that I'm right-clicking on that I want to read.

I've been logged on less then 5 minutes and I have already had to close 3 of those god awful blink websites.

If it is opening in a different tab/or window then you can close and still view the thread you want to read. If it opened on the exact same page then it would be a different problem but you are confirming its opening a new space (if it be tab or window) so you can close? Closing the ad isn't closing BnB.

Vesta IN case you didn't see page 1 the ad reported as opening a number of times in a short space of time has been reported.

I get the ones that pop up and cover the whole page. It starts off as a black circle in the center of the screen and then the ad pops up covering 90% of the screen. So annoying!

It is appearing over the top. Close the page down, you won't lose the BnB page.
