Hello girls Hope you all are doing well!

I'm only 2dpo, but yesterday I developed a pretty bad UTI. I went to the doctor and got antibiotics and some other type of medicine to help with the burning/needing to go sensation. I have only had one UTI in my life other than this one, and that was when I was younger and started to become sexually active. It's very rare for me. Anything uncommon in the tww is a great sign so I figured I'd ask.

I know UTIs are common in pregnancy, so I was wondering if any of you ladies got a UTI in the tww or very early on?

I got a UTI in my tww, shortly after got my BFP so fingers crossed for you!

No UTI here, but your immune system does depress a bit early on to allow the invading object in your womb to implant and go about its business. I got a cold. Could be you got a UTI?

i was prescribed anti-biotics for a UTI about 3-4 days before my BFP good luck!!

with one of my pregnancies, I had a uti so bad on christmas, I had to go to the ER. a week later, I got my BFP! I wasn't even trying then, I was on the pill, but it happened. I def consider it a sign of being prego!

Oh my gosh you poor girl!!! It was really bad for me yesterday I couldn't even sit down on the comp because I couldn't concentrate on anything else but the burn. Hope it's a pregnancy sign for me! xx

Yeah I did and got my about a week later Antibiotics worked as a baby making aid for us, hope they do for you xoxoxo

I have been getting uti's every since i started ttc. It might be a symptom. when i got pregnant in last may, my uti got really severe causing constant cramps. my doctor told me that the reason for my miscarriage could possibly be related to the uti. not to scare you though!!
I am now pregnant again, and i went to the doctors yesterday, they said i do have traces of a uti ( its like i could never get rid of them, no matter if i wipe front to back, drink tons of water and urinate after sex)
i dont have a lot of cramping this time though with very little nausea.

the antibiotics that im on is macrobid, supposed to be safe for pregnancy. i know to stay away from cipro though! cipro can cause birth defects.

anything can be a possibility. keeping fingers crossed for you and sending a lot of baby dust your way!

does your doctor know you are ttc? you could've gotten a test at the docs office. either way,if you don't treat uti's, it could lead to more serious problems like bacterial vaginosis, kidney disease, or even pelvic inflammatory disease. which in possibility in the future can lead to infertility. imo you should take care of the problem, and finish your antibiotics to fight off the infection. what about all those mothers out there that drank alcohol,smoked or used drugs. some mothers have been so careless during their pregnancy but they went on having healthy babies( im not implying anything here). If your pregnancy is meant to be, that bean will stick! you could always call your doctor to ask if your meds is safe during pregnancy. And are they not supposed to supply you with pregnancy safe medication if you are ttc, (if they know you are ttc) ??

Yes he knows I'm TTC but he said it will be fine. I'll finish up the antibiotics for sure I don't want anything worse to happen! If I got a blood test it would still show negative even if I was because I'm only 2dpo xxx

I got a UTI about 1 or 2 dpo but it only lasted a few days. And I got my bfp. Good luck x
