positive opk @ 8dpo...HELP!!!

The ferning made perfect sense, Fngrs. :) I took an opk tonight... waited til I had a decent hold and I had the same thing as last night... One was a little bit darker than the other. They're darker than a few days ago, so I guess that's what matters anyway. I know they're not positive and not even "almost" but enough where I see a little progression to keep me hopeful.

I'm really hoping the random spotting is just my body's way of protesting the long cycle and that I will eventually O and then stop the spotting.

You both are good name-pickers! Everyone is different of course, but sometimes I just plain hate names people pick out, and I don't feel that way with any of the names listed. I'm not big on the neutral names for us, but there are a few neutral names that I do like, like Raegan/ Raygen. I'm also fond of Audrey or Aubrey for a girl, but they don't "fit" us. Hard to explain, but I'm sure you know what I mean... I guess like when you think a dress is really pretty and would look amazing on someone, but it just isn't "you". I think Ariel is a very pretty name... would be a little too cliche for us since we could have a little red-head someday (DH is a red-head), but sounds lovely for your future DD, MzSwizz!!!! Anyway, there I go blabbering.

Fngrs... I hope your neighborhood calms down! That sounds awful, especially for your daughter! It's horrible how some kids have foul-mouth at such a young age, and of course you know exactly where they got it from! Parents are quick to scold their children (or laugh) when their kids say nasty words, but then use them over and over again themselves! :nope: DH and I don't swear at all and our family that does at least tries to be considerate around any kids. Sounds like childish drama and I'm sorry you're having to deal with it.

I went to the ladies house that did that to my daughter. She wouldn't answer the door..:growlmad: and since this happened at school, that means I have to take it the school tomorrow. I don't like bullying. It's crude and horrible. And then to drag my daughter in the middle like that. I always tell her to stay neutral and don't dislike someone because someone else does. So to the school I go tomorrow..What kind of parents laugh at that? It's not funny and it's a one way ticket to the gates of hell in my book! My children don't speak like that, But these little girls even drop "f-bombs" at 9 years old!!! It's so disappointing, this little girl used to catch the bus in front of my house with my children...And now this? She isn't welcome here anymore. She is a trouble maker. Wait til I tell DH, he is going to be really upset...

Yea I can see where Ariel would be cliche, I remember you Dh has red hair. I used to have a high school friend named Audrey. Haven't see her in ages. But it fit her so well, quiet and soft spoken, kind and warm. I spelled Reagen with a Y because it all has to go together.I just noticed the 2 syllables also. so that must be another thing with me.

I tried to name my boy angel baby, Ashley..DH wouldn't let me. I tried Courtney... he told me no again. :cry:Then when I mentioned Jody and Tracy he gave me a look  So I gave up because he wasn't budging and thought it was going to be an insult to the child... Guess I could try again if I get my BFP!!! :D Think he would let me now??? I just like those names for boys, it's quirky and different.

Just read an article about B12 for male and female fertility. Also read a post a lady wrote about it regulating her cycle, and how it would be 5-7 months from one cycle to the next! 2 periods a year? When not TTC that is awesome! :happydance:

I bought B12 a couple of weeks ago...I think DH is going to be forced to swallow these pills. Vitamin B12 is shown to improve sperm quality and production. And here I was thinking Lecithin 1200mg for DH!!! NOPE now its going to be B12 and I can save myself at least 15-18 bucks!!! Now I can get him on some Vitamin C that also helps male fertility as well!

Thanks ladies. I too love the names you ladies picked out for the future LO. We were going for the "our kids will have our initials strategy". DH initials..A.C. and mines P.C. (think our initials are funny because it reminds me of air conditioning and personal computer  ) So the girl would have dh initials and boy my initials. Also, each name has a meaning..got to find the paper to know what the girl name means. But for the boy..ok this is how we decided the name Pierce Elijah. Now my dh is a james bond fan and he think the best actor for james bond is Pierce Brosnan (i.e. Pierce being the first name) also its more of a strong but soothing name. Elijah now i love love love Elijah and it means soldier/warrior for God :cloud9: I love Ariel because its very beautiful and Mariah because for some reason..it just seems perfect. Now if dh's genes are stronger...then our kids will have his chubby cheeks which i love. And i have dimples so as you can tell it can go either way. Wow I just been blabbering away :haha:

Fngrs-How awful about the little girls and the neighbors. You would think that once they reach a certain way..all childish ways are done with but noooooo some people just dont need children because mentally they are children themselves and they are raising their children in a negative way which would lead them into a negative lifestyle. And those same parents always say i didnt raise you that way but in reality they did even if they didnt mean to because children watch what their parents do and mimick them which is how they teach themselves many of our characteristics. If only people would grow up and stop all this nonsense. And fxed you ov soon. It looks like we both are waiting.

L.E.-you hit the name on the head about ttc and a lost. That's exactly how i felt when I had a m/c. I dont think some people would understand what we go through until they are in our situation and see how much work we put into it. And i understand how you say some names wont fit because we are the same way. We just know some names wont fit for us.

AFM, im on cd29 and my opk is negative. If my cycle wasnt irregular this time, I would've had AF in 7 days because it was due on the 11th. But now, atleast i can enjoy the no bleed period of my cycle and wait for ov to occur. I must say that I have been enjoying work lately and my boss has been pretty nice to me so far. She even said that i do a great job and she wish they could give me full time at the library location so i wont have to look for full time anywhere else  As you can tell, I was shocked when she said that and thankful for the compliment. Yesterday, dh decided that he wanted to know more info about the Coast Guard Reserve because he wants to be a Reserve. We both looked at the information on the website and I say its pretty good. They have great benefits and the only time he will be away from the house, is when he has to go do drills and thats once or twice a month..no more than 2 weeks a year  The only time he would be away for awhile is when he first signs up and has to do training which is 8 weeks in New Jersey. So if he is able to sign up..ttc would be put on hold for 2 months until he comes back so hoping we get a bfp before then if not...then there's always waiting the two months. Well, im off today so im going to enjoy it because I go back to work tomorrow.

bump-this is how you post a pic...you click reply to thread. then you click on the paperclip icon. Once you are there, you click the choose file button and it should pull up a pop up window and you click the picture you want a click open. Then you click upload which is on the right side in the same row. Then you wait while it uploads the file, then after it uploads, you close the window and press submit reply and your picture would be there once the reply is posted.

MzSwizz... that OPK looks like you're so close! I'm also glad your boss is being better. I've only had one boss that I didn't like, but he wasn't terrible.

Fngrs, I've heard some people taking the B supplements. I know they're really good for you in general. I think I have some here but they're probably expired.

So here's my journey in Wondfo land so far today. I didn't drink much, did some work outside and had a good concentration... best I've had lately. So I dipped 2 Wondfos and saw they looked like they were going to give me different darknesses again, so I dipped a 3rd one right after. Now that they're drying it doesn't look like as big of a difference, but it was just like the other day. So a few mins later I dipped a 4th on and used a digi LOL. Digi was negative and the lines were fairly light. I knew that the Wondfos were negative, but I wanted to compare them with the digi. Anyway, here's what they look like.

l.e. looks like the first 3 are the closest to the digi opk so im thinking those are the acuurate ones. and hopefully ov is right around the corner for us all.

afm, dh came home around 3pm and surprised me with chocolate covered strawberries which are my favorite and i havent had those in years! We relaxed and took a nap. Now im just waiting for my food to be ready so i can eat.

Yea I took one later in the evening and it was pretty light, so I don't know what's up with my body but that's just how things go with me. I'm sure I am NOT going to get to see any positives over the weekend. I have a feeling I'm just going to be waiting til I can get it for my Pap, then do the Provera and Clomid.

It's almost 5 a.m. here... just finished getting everything tagged and loaded up for my mom to take to my sister's in a few hrs for the garage sale. I've had a long, hard, day and I'm beat. DS has been sick with a cough and fever so we didn't sleep that great last night. I heard him coughing earlier but he's stopped for a while. Maybe we'll get some good sleep in before a somewhat busy day again. Hope you ladies are having a good weekend. I'll chat more when I'm not so tired, but I HAD to check on the conversation before bed. :)

L.E.-Im thinking you may get your positive next week in the beginning of the week. So fxed

AFM, im cd30 today. Wow cd30 cant believe im that far already. My temp is 97.68 and my opk is negative. Im not surprised that my opk is negative because usually after AF stops, i ov around 16-17 days later. So seeing that the bleeding stopped on cd23, i may be o'ing around cd39-40 which is in 9-10 days. So i have another week before ov'ing but it may come earlier or later who knows. DH and I dtd last night. TBH, i've noticed that dtd every day isnt even intentional :haha: Lately, we have just been having fun and just having sex when we want to. We pretty much are waiting for the smiley so we can dtd routinely but until then, it just happens. I work today and today is doughnut day. Jay is bringing in doughnuts for the staff today so im going to indulge a little  Well, unfortunately DH wasnt able to get any info because the location closed early so now DH has to wait until Monday to call the recruiter. Now, I have noticed that my temp is at 97.68 but i wonder if i o'd yesterday but we shall see because my temp is still in pre-ov range. Also, I finally decided to get the vip membership with FF yesterday. So now I have the VIP for 90 days but i am hoping that i get a bfp before those 90 days are up.

Good morning ladies! Had a whopper of a headache yesterday. But allll better now! Missed you ladies yesterday! L.E. I agree with MsSwizz about the opk, it may be this incoming week for a +, not to worry though my digi is being really  too! It's amazing how the Wondfo's are more sensitive. All I bought this cycle was the digi's. I maybe should have gotten Answer. :nope: I may need to be like you L.E. and get a sensitive test. I don't want the digi to be late. That wondfo line looks darker than the digi...

...MsSwizz I have to agree with L.E. too your opks do look like you are getting close.

My opks look light. I didn't even take pics, just tossed them. Of course I did use dialuted urine yesterday and first morning urine this morning. I am going to limit my fluids today and test a little later, just because of how my slide looked this morning. I have a lot of ferning, had a lot yesterday too. So changed it to ferning. going to upload pics in a few minutes. They will be inserted as an Edit in this post. Oh yea, gt my CL on TCOYF this morning..Gosh it's high too, 97.5 . It's should lower as I go along though.

These are yesterday's pics..

Glad you feeling better Fngrs. And hope im getting closer to ov. But it looks like the line isnt getting darker because today's opk and yesterday's opk looks the same but my temp went up to 97.68  Hopefully we all ov soon. Wouldnt it be crazy if we all ov either on the same day or a few days from each other and end up with bfps? Then our edds would be very close to each others. That would be great!!! FXed for us. Also, i finally got my vip membership on FF so im happy :haha:

It would be awesome to Ov on the same day...I would really know then that God is guaranteeing us our bfps then!! It would totally be a sign! I think I would be speechless if we all ovulated on the same day. And I am never lost for words.

DIGI needs to hurry and give us our smiley! I think we have waited long enough and are more than ready to OV already! It would be nice to get a smiley today, wouldn't it? Ah, and I had Ov pains this morning.

:happydance: <--for the VIP membership..you are going to like it a lot!

This mornings microscope test... The first pic is the middle of the slide, the 2nd and 3rd pic are up a little higher on the slide but it looks like ferning too. The 4th pic is the same I think. But there is more ferning on the top of the slide that I can't get a pic of, and small ferns in between the middle and higher ferning that I just cant get on a pic.

If you look closely, it looks like it has some "bushy" spots on the ferns in certain areas. Like its going to get a little fuller in a day or two. I read that everyone's ferning pattern is different, according to how much estrogen they produce. And that I can see many days of ferning. But I should exepct to ovulate 24-72 hours after I see the first ferning (which could have been yesterday? Today?). So I ->:coffee:

Fngrs-I would be lost for words too. And it would've been nice to get a smile today but that didnt happen for me yet so just patiently waiting. Your pics are looking good. Hoping we are all close to ov'ing. I know that once i get the smiley...dh is going to pounce on me  Im just ready for us to get our bfps so we can turn this into..ov together...bump buddies together thread!!!

How is everyone today?

AFM, well im just waking up this morning. Had a long night. DH and I both went out but separately. His brother invited him to a boys' night out and watch the fight so he went and I hung out with my girls. We both didnt make it home until close to 2am and DH had to wake up 4 hours later for work. Yesterday, dh and I dtd before parting ways :haha: It was more of a random fun moment. Today im on cd31, temp is 97.53 and opk is still negative. Im glad im temping and taking the opks because now i can see what's going on and take the stress of guessing out. Hoping i get a smiley soon. When i took the opk this morning, I noticed that the bottom half of the test line is darker than the top half  Don't know how that happened. Well tomorrow, I got to take my MIL to the hospital to do paperwork etc in the afternoon then after that, Im going to stop by and see my friends so tomorrow is going to be a busy day. Looks like maybe i will ov in the middle of may. Atleast if that does happen..then i would have to go through only this cycle and the next cycle (if i dont get my bfp) before seeing the doc which isnt pretty bad. And i like the fact that my chart is all over the place. My temps have been staying in the 97.40s and 97.50s range so thats good. Atleast ff will have a lower coverline this time and hopefully my temps stay up. We shall see though...patiently waiting :coffee:

I'm really thinking I'm not going to O on my own and will be waiting it out til the Pap, Provera, and Clomid. I'm going to call tomorrow and see when I can get scheduled. A week ago I called and the lady in charge of the special non-insurance thing (to save me $100) wasn't in, and I kept forgetting this week since I was so busy with the garage sale stuff.

In the meantime, what do you ladies think of me trying Soy isoflavones? I know you're supposed to take it at the beginning of the cycle, but it couldn't hurt, could it? I mean, either it will make me ovulate or it won't, and I'm already spotting most of the time and a few mins from CD88. Any thoughts? I may go buy some tomorrow if you think it's worth a shot. People say it's only about $7 at Walmart so I wouldn't even have to order online and wait for it. Or do you think I can see if the doc will at least prescribe Provera and if they won't, then do the soy now?

MsSwizz my opk did something like that yesterday. It smuged all over the bottom, and had the nerve to give me a negative reading! :haha: So I took another and the bottom was darker, that got on my nerves so I threw it out. I know we aren't suppose to read the lines, but oh well. What's up with digi doing that to the both of us?! not cool digi, not cool. The least it could do is be positive! where is our smile?! :S from your chart overlay, looks like your body geared up and and changed it's mind. Your CL will defo be lower this cycle.

L.E. I don't think getting the Soy would be a bad idea. It's only taken for 5 days and only 80mg/daily. So why not try it out? Just make sure you don't take it longer than that. I have read bad things about it. Like it can lower LH, can lengthen your cycle, cause decreased FSH. If the Soy doesn't induce ovulation then the Provera is a definite green light.
