Positive test 12 days after mc help!

Hi all, it's a bit complicated but here we go. Firstly I'm 29 and have 3 gorgeous DC's the youngest is 5. I fell pregnant accidentally in December but mc at 5 weeks. This was normal period bleeding with cramps. Anyway, we decided not to wait until I had an AF and 4 weeks later I got a BFP. Then at 4+6 I had sudden heavy bleeding without pain for 2 days, it turned brown and stopped completely on the 3rd day. I assumed I'd had another mc and normal service of wine drinking and the like resumed

Anyway yesterday I thought I'd do an ebay cheapie just to make sure it was negative and it came out positive, got a CB digi and that has come up positive but only 1-2 weeks. I would expect to be 6+3 today. I've been to see my GP and she says they won't scan me until 7 weeks so I have to come back in a week if test is still showing positive. She said it's very possible I'm still pregnant. My boobs are sore and I have ahd heartburn throughout (I very rarely get this unless preg).

I just hate being in limboland, I got over my mc's and was fine and ready to try again but this has messed my head up again and I really want to know one way or the other. I was hoping the CB digi would either show not pregnant or pregnant 3+ ... sigh...

My first 3 pregnancies were totally normal although I had pretty severe cramping for the first 12 weeks with 2 of them and spotting but no cramping with the other 1.

hi hun i had a missed m/c last oct and like you did not wait for af before trying again, i also did not have my bloods checked for hcg levels after my m/c, so was not sure if i was pg or what so rang the epau cps my dr said the same as yours and they scanned me it turned out that i had had an incomplete m/c and that was why i was getting a positive still, i had a erpc the next day and then got my -hpt 2 weeks later am now trying again after my first af.
if i was you i would ring the epau and see what they say tell them how upset you are see if they will scan you earlier.
really hope this is a bfp though.

Thanks Becky. I rang the EPAU before the Drs and they said unless you have had 3 or more mc's they won't see you without a referral.

TBH I don't even mind if it's not a preg, like I said I'd come to terms with it, I'd obviousloy be delighted if it turned out well but I'm not getting my hopes up. #
I can't really afford a private scan although will discuss with DH (but he's away with work til Friday), am stuck on my own with my 3 Dcs and a dissertation to write (am in my final year at uni)... need to do some work instead of obsessing over HPT's LOL

I've seen some people say they O'd immediately after a MC, maybe thats the case and its a whole new pregnancy? Good luck whatever the outcome, hope its a good one, and sorry for your losses

I misscarried 3 weeks past on sunday (had bloods monitor and they returned to 0 byt the friday). On saturday we were painting the house and I felt sick at the smell of paint (paint doesn't bother me), so I said to my husband I think I'm pregnant, his response was don't be so stupid you've just MC (was about 8 weeks but it was a BO). Done an asda test and the line was so dark, done a digi the next day and it's say PREGNANT 1-2 weeks.

Limboland is crap.

Oh my Goodness, don't go saying that! It hadn't entered my head now I have a whole new scenario to dwell on!! LOL

Trying to remember if we did the deed straight after my mc... if we did it was clearly not that memorable.. poor Dh! We did on Friday and Sunday just gone but that would be too early... hmm

LOL, it just didn't occur to me.... it's good, need to be prepared for any outcome! Trying to stay negative - it that weird? So I don't get disappointed if it's bad news.

Thing is, if it was a new pregnancy then they won't see anything on the scan in a week and I'll be even more confused so it's something I need to consider.

I try to think that I will get the baby I'm supposed to have when I finally get my BFP. i.e. if I'd fallen preg a month earlier with my Dc's they wouldn't be 'them'. Therefore if I get preg now/next month/next year the baby I have will be the one I want and I won't look back. I think too much maybe!!

Sounds like a pretty good way to think about it!

If nothing shows up on your scan, do another digi and see if the conception thingy changes from 1-2 to 2-3!

What a great way of thinking about it. Well done for managing to keep so positive. As for thinking too much, well that's my OH's favourite way to describe me (apart from being "a challenge" ... as in "Why do you love me?" "Because, my darling, you are a challenge" ).

I had the same sort of heavy bleeding which then turned brown and stopped and assumed I'd MC. Turns out, I was still pregnant. (Sadly though, I really did MC 8 weeks later.) Until you find out for sure, I'd keep taking Folic acid and stay off the booze.

Well, a bit of an update. On Tuesday night went to the loo and had bright red blood, this was only when wiping and then stopped and turned brown by the next day. Then last night same again. No pain. To add to the weirdness I am feeling very pregnant, my boobs are more painful than ever, I'm exhausted and feel sick.
So still haven't got a clue. I think if I had no symptoms I would be sure that it wasn't going to work out but a MW friend of mine thinks I may have a bleed site somewhere or it may be coming from my cervix (this is where I am getting twinges).

Holding out until Tuesday but it's hard not to think about it!

If I were you I'd do a Clearblue digi with the conception indictor. This confirmed my pregnant at the weekend. I mc 3 weeks past on sunday and the indicator confirmed pregnant 1- 2 weeks.

Hi JD I did one on Tuesday and it came up pregnant 1-2 weeks That's made things even more confusing!

If you are pg and gat a scan at 7 weeks you should be able to see the sac and prob heartbeat too - I had one at 7+4 and buib was 6mm with strong hb - so it might be good news and reassuring to have it.
