I have been diagnosed with GD and I have been put on a very strict, boring diet. I have to test my sugar 4 times a day and have been doing it for about a week now. I have noticed that typically only my morning numbers are a little bit high and the food is not changing that at all. It's very frustrating. I am hoping you don't have to deal with it, I'll be honest it sucks!!
Mine was like that but then I started having a celery stick - i know exciting! just as I get into bed and drink a glass of water and it makea my morning levels lower. Something about the body having to work to digest celery while I sleep makes the blood sugar really low.
Doc said to try celery or radishes as your body has tl work harder to digest them. Personally I hate radishes! Celery isn't so bad with the water
