Possible short luteal phase? "Fertile" mucus after ovulation?

Hello! I am just starting TTC, in my 20's, and recently got off of BC. I am in a relationship with a woman, but we have a few available and willing donors, and I have already contacted a lawyer who would be willing to help us with the paperwork of relinquishing the donor's parental rights.
I got the shot in January, the Implanon in April, that was removed in August, and I took a month of Yaz before deciding to go off of them, and start prenatal multivits with Folic Acid.

I'm in my third cycle after quitting the pill (including withdrawal bleed), the first was 28days after withdrawal bleed, this one was 26days. I had very obvious EWCM this month, the last day I had it was Friday October 17 (CD 16), the next day I was drier than the Sahara. My cycle started 10 days later on Monday October 27 (CD 26).

I am wondering if it's possible to have had the "fertile" mucus for a couple days after ovulation? I know it's impossible to know for sure if/when I ovulated without knowing my temps, so that's why I am temping now. Any input would be appreciated!

Hi!

I, too, have had fertile CM a few days after my suspected O date. I typically have a 11 day luteal phase, so I'm waiting to see when my period starts to help determine whether or not I was correct on my dates or if I Oed later, this month.

Did you have fertile CM consistently for a few days, or did it not show up until after you think you Oed?

Yes, it's possible. Every woman's body is different, so the textbook description of CM throughout a cycle might not entirely fit you. I usually get a little bit that's more "fertile-quality" about halfway through my LP every month.
