Anyone else just not got there stomach back? It's been nearly 14 months. I work out regularly, have lost all my baby weight and a bit more, I fit back in everything, my stomach *looks* pretty toned - as in not saggy - but it just sticks out unless I hold it in. In some things I look five months pregnant! I used to have the flattest stomach but not anymore! Will this get better or should I just accept it?

I was thinking the same today. I was doing a plank and I looked down and omg. I could try harder with the crunches I suppose. I have had 4 lots of abdominal surgery in 5 yrs so I think this is maybe it for me.

I noticed the same after my first. I lost all of the weight i put on in pregnancy, and really everything else on me was lookin good, but my stomach was just never the same as pre- baby. I just accepted that was how it was gonna be, and now after baby #2... Uh. Same thing, I feel good about my weight but just hate how my stomach looks. Oh well, I am thankful I was able to conceive carry and deliver my two gorgeous girls, and if that's the price I pay, so be it. It's worth it! ( might I add I had stretch marks on my tummy with both.... Boo. But like I said, I'm accepting them as a sign that I am a proud mommy)

I'm 4 months pp and my belly is definitely not what it used to be. I still have a little weight to lose (only 4-6lb) but I'm like you - it looks ok when I'm stood up but when I sit down or lean over and don't consciously hold it in... FLOB! I've started crunches to see if that helps but I doubt it'll ever be the same as it was before my LO. It's just another of those 'mummy' badges we wear, I guess.

Ive lost all my weight too buy my stomach is horrendous. I was so stretched out with the baby that it's just awful, saggy, stretch-marky.

It will never be the same, ever. But I'm ok with that, so it's tankinis for me at the beach but meh could be worse.

I'd have a tummy tuck if I wasn't so afriad of dying on the opp table.

See mine doesn't have stretch marks or any wobbly bits - it just sticks out loads! It's like my muscles are all wrong or something. It is nearly as toned as it was pre baby but I look pregnant if I don't breathe in! It doesn't bother me too much as I'm not 16 and wearing crop tops but it just shows no signs of getting better!

There's something called distasis recti (sp?!) perhaps it's that?

They don't tear, they're just permanently separated after carrying a baby.

Diastus recti is not permanent. Most women who carry a baby will have some sort of muscle seperation while carrying a child. Most goes away on there own while others have too do certain excercises too get there ab muscles back together.

Surgery is an option in extreme cases, when the muscles dont go back on there own
