Today he had Avacado followed by strawberry and banana yoghurt.
He really got the hang of the spoon. I just dipped it in and held it out - he took it and shovelled it right in!!
It made quite a mess :haha:

We introduced Ivy to banana and very cooked carrots last week. She didn't quite get it.

This is Lily's first taste of banana, but she likes to eat it solid now.

not a pic, but a little video of Daniel feeding himself yoghurt from a pre-loaded spoon.
He is a little gannet when it comes to pudding!!

i noticed he uses his left hand to hold the spoon, if you hold it to his right hand does he take it with his right hand or still reach with his left? or pass it from right hand to left hand?

ever since my Lo reched out for things hes always done it more so with his left hand, and if he take his spoon/toy with his right hand he passes it to his left. im beginning to think i have a left-handed baby!

I loooove to cook.

The other night I made whole wheat couscous, falafel, tomatoes and cucumbers (I have tzatziki but Alex has a dairy allergy).

Ivy tried yoghurt today (i pre loaded the spoon), she loved it. Then puked it all back up. :( All in all a very messy experience!

Oh my, Ivy is causing quite the mess!! LOL!!! Surprised she's feeding herself with the spoon that's impressive.

Alex does enjoy the food but our dog has become a begging whore and he thinks it's funnier to feed the dog. Ugh!

Really cute pics girls :) How did you get your LO's to feed themselves Amelia doesn't seem interested in feeding herself at all

When did you start? Honestly it took Alex around 3-4 weeks to start caring about it and eat. He doesn't swallow much.

I think it is because I hand things to him with my right hand. I will have to try passing it to his right hand to see what he does!!

let me know how that goes! i tried it today at breakfast and he still tried to reach out with his left but did eventually take it with his right, only to put it on the tray and pick it up with his left :dohh:

Shortie your LO looks like a great eater! Does he swallow most of it?

We had a little more luck with broccoli today, although she still gagged and threw a bit up, shes not very good at eating for such a big fatty :haha:

Ya know what, I'm incredibly suprised how well he's doing, he 'just knows' what he's doing, like he's been eating months! and yes, he deffo isn't just playing with it!

TMI but we had broccoli in her poo today, Ivy has finally managed to swallow food without throwing it back up! Today: coucous, roasted pepper strips, baby corn and peppermint tea and a very messy experience with raspberry yoghurt!
