We've got him 4 toys (hes gonna get lots of toys from family so we didn't want to get him to many) and for the rest we're gonna get him clothes and books xxx

We will buy some clothes, some books and some toys. Am contemplating asking grandparents for Clarks vouchers for part of Emma's Christmas too so that we can use them as needed for new shoes. A friend asked for people to put money towards her LO's Waterbabies Swimming lessons last year.

Don't want just toys if possible.

never bother with clothes lol :/ as he wont care and it wont be fun lol rather spend the money on toys plus clothes are really for the mums ! lol (to buy and look at aha)
he will be getting books tho :)X

I won't be getting clothes as a present but I think toys for babies could be classed as practical anyway :D they're educational x

^^^ agreed

Esp with Birthday and Xmas so close, here isn really enough toys for me to buy

My grandparents put money into a savings account for both birthday and xmas as they dont see the point in buying her toys that wont get used, and they dont, i still have some upstairs from last year that havent even been opened!!

Amelie gets clothes for her birthday cos i get them in the sales. Im getting her stuff like new plates and bowls and cutlery which are practical :D

Our family are all getting Kacie toys. I'm getting her a few.. (already got bounce and spin zebra and a ride on thing) toys, then the rest will be clothes. Kacie isn't really that interested in toys anyway

Matthew's getting some toys from me some from family etc. We're getting him sippy cups from 12months +, cuterly, plates, etc things Im gonna need anyway and my mum and gran are being nice and under my suggestion are buying him his stage one car seat (he fits in his stage 0 one fine with plenty more room!)

I'm gonna get Ike some clothes along with lots of toys. =]

We always buy a mixture of clothes, toys, books and practical things-same as I was given when I was a child. We always buy some new podgies for christmas too, its a new tradition we're starting

I always got new clothes for Christmas-I wore them on Christmas day too, to show my appreciation for them. I was certainly never disappinted when I unwrapped those and not a toy :flower:

xx

I'm so glad you said this

I was going to get Lennon all clothes for Christmas and now I realise it makes SO much more sense to get clothes from the sales for his birthday instead (which is January 6th). Thank you! x

remember to go to the next sale on boxing day! Im going with a friend and we'll do all the shops on boxing day

My gran is staying with me on Christmas night I'll be getting up and over to next for 5am or 7am :rofl:Because all the boys 12-18month clothing goes so quick I have to be there to get his christmas clothes on boxing day :haha:! lol He'll be one he won't notice/moan about a days difference for clothes etc
