Precipitous Labor?

Any ladies have precipitous labor and then subsequent precipitous labors? My first two babies were 8 hours of labor each.. My third, two years ago was only two hours long... My dr has advised me that I cannot wait until the normal time frame of contractions or waters breaking...as soon as my breathing feels the slightest bit labored due to contractions, she says I have to come in right away, because my last baby was a two hour delivery... She says most likely this will be a repeat... I was just wondering if you ladies had this before but went to have a little more time with the next delivery... Or is my dr right.? I'm a little worried and concerned...
